North Texas has a rich bowling history, with many iconic centers that have come and gone as the sport has evolved from traditional league play to today’s entertainment-focused venues. My bowling journey began in 1971 at the age of 11, competing in the youth leagues at Buckner Bowl in East Dallas. As the center later became Grove Country Lanes, my passion for the sport continued to grow. Over the years, I bowled in leagues at several well-known neighborhood centers, including Big Town Bowl and Jupiter Lanes.
Throughout my career, I have managed multiple bowling centers and have proudly served as a league officer since 1982. I also had the honor of serving as a Director for the former Dallas Bowling Association under the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). Among my personal achievements are a highest sanctioned game of 299 and a highest sanctioned series of 763. Today, my passion remains as strong as ever. I am dedicated to promoting the sport of bowling by supporting leagues, tournaments, and fundraising events that benefit both youth and adult bowlers, helping ensure the game continues to thrive for future generations.
